Sensors for Clear Object Detection Q26 Series Sensors for Clear Object Detection

Q26 Series Sensor Features Reliable detection of clear, translucent, or opaque objects – including mirror like surfaces LO / DO Switch 14 mm 270° potentiometer 43 mm 25 mm

Product Features & Development Strategy Reliable detection of clear films, bottles, vials, glass plate, and other transparent objects. Uses a coaxial optical design where the emitted and reflected light travels on the same path. Coaxial optics, also called the “autocollimation principle” Crossed polarizer in the optical path prevents missed detection of glossy or metallic targets.

Q26 for Clear Object Detection

Coaxial Design—Benefit #1 Coaxial design provides three additional benefits when using the sensor in some applications… A coaxial optical design allows for very short sensor to reflector separations distances in machines with limited space

Coaxial Design—Benefit #2 Coaxial sensing beam can shoot through a small aperture; not effected by triangulation effect.

Coaxial Design—Benefit #3 50 µs repeatability 250 µs response time Precise leading edge detection for positioning, the coaxial design results in higher positional accuracy and is not sensitive to sensor rotation
