Diving Deeper The difference between “Proficient” and “Distinguished” relies on student involvement Think About: How can you take one of your parent communication methods and extend it so that students play a role?

Difficult Situations Choose one slip of paper out of the container on your table. After reading your scenario, respond to each of the questions on your response card. Be ready to share out your responses in a few minutes.

Apply to Your Practice At your next team meeting, bring at least one resource you use to communicate or document communication with parents. It can be one you’ve created or one you’ve found/adapted from the shared link. As a team, discuss how each resource could be adapted to include students as communicators.
