SHOULD WE ATTACK SYRIA? TFTW W/C 30TH NOVEMBER

BRITISH VALUES This term we have already looked at a variety of British Values. But should we be imposing our values on other countries? After the attacks in Paris many people feel we should attack Syria, as this is where IS (the terrorist organisation who have claimed responsibility for the attacks) have the most power.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE BRITISH VALUES? In pairs discuss what values or beliefs are important in Britain. What have you come up with?

WHAT DO MPS THINK? In 2013 MPs voted against airstrikes in Syria. But things have changed since then, so what do they now think? Have a quick read through the opinions of the main parties. Now have a think about your own opinion. What do the rest of your tutor group think?

FINALLY In your planners, on today’s date, write down 3 things you have discussed during this session.
