VIEWNG SYSTEMS There are two ‘viewing systems’ that we use to visually interpret the world around us. What do you think the two ‘viewing systems’ are?

VIEWNG SYSTEMS 2D – 2 dimensional 3D – 3 dimensional

3D - 3 DIMENSIONAL VIEWING SYSTEMS Purpose of 3D Viewing Systems Allows people with little or no experience interpreting drawings to understand the product. Purpose of 3D Viewing Systems Develops deeper understanding of assembled parts or complex components.

2D - 2 DIMENSIONAL VIEWING SYSTEMS Purpose of 2D Viewing Systems Includes more technical information (eg: dimensions) and is more useful for the manufacturer in the PRODUCTION phase, which requires a high level of precision. People with little or no experience interpreting drawing may have some difficulty understanding the product in this format.
