The FLDOE Item Bank and Test Platform (IBTP) is a new optional resource available to all school districts in Florida for the development and administration of district-level, school- level, and classroom-level computer-based and paper- based assessments aligned with the Florida Standards. 3 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING IBTP Overview

Broward District is using this test platform to provide all schools with the Broward Standards Assessment (BSA), formerly BAFS, in January. Any BSA test that corresponds to an ELA or Math FSA test that will be given on the computer will be given via computer on this test platform. The BSA tests that will be administered via computer are: ELA Grades 4-10 Math Grades 5-8 Paper accommodated students will be given a corresponding paper-based test. 7 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Broward Standards Assessment
The BSA Tests that correspond with the paper-based FSA tests will be administered via paper for BSA. Teachers will print BSA test answer sheets. Students will use these answer sheets along with the professionally printed test booklets that will be provided by the Student Assessment & Research Dept. (SAR). The completed answer sheets will be sent to SAR for scanning. If you are at a charter school: Username: (where XXXXXXXX is your Broward Schools provided identification number, to which you will add a “P” prefix) (Example: Password: XXXXXXXX (where XXXXXXXX is your Broward Schools provided identification number) (Example: ) If that password doesn’t work try: PassXXXX (where XXXX is the last 4 digits of your Broward Schools provided identification number) (Example: Pass1234)

If the following login screen displays, verify your address, select your school in the Institution drop-down menu, select your Role in the Role drop-down menu, and click Continue. 17 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Setup - Staff Login
The IBTP Home screen displays. 18 IBTP TRAINING Setup – Staff Login Verify that the correct role displays (Teacher or Leadership) If it does not, complete the Role Modification Request form on the SAR IBTP Resources web page.
All students who will take a CBT test via IBTP must have a Student Single Sign-on (SSO) account. All students enrolled as of 8/28/15, have been given a student SSO account. Students that have enrolled after 8/28/15, will need to setup their account. The Student SSO login account is NOT the same thing as their Active Directory login. Do NOT use the Username menu within IBTP because it is NOT the same as the Student SSO login account. The Student Access Report is the only report for Student SSO accounts. 19 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Setup – Student SSO Account
Preparations to be completed before the testing window: Help students create their Student Single Sign-on (SSO) accounts, if they don’t already have accounts Students will need to go to the following website and click on the New User Registration button and complete the requested information to setup their username and password for their account. Schoolnet Secure Tester is a student desktop application for secure test administration, similar to the FSA SecureBrowser. District IT staff have pushed out the installation of this to all student test computers. Run Tech Check – to verify testing computers can handle IBTP Login to IBTP on your testing computer Click on the Tech Check link at the footer of the IBTP Home Page Verify that the report shows all green checks. 25 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Setup – Tech Check
Test Coordinators will be notified when the District schedules a test. Once this is done, staff must verify that they have access to a test they need to administer. To Verify Access to a Test: 1.Select the course Section associated with the test from the IBTP home page. 2.Click on the Upcoming Tests tab. 3.The tests assigned to your course section display. 26 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Setup – Verify Access to Test
Once the tests are scheduled by the District, Teachers will print the answer sheets for all paper-based tests. ELA Grade 3 and Math Grades 3 and 4, as well as any tests for paper- accommodated students. 4. The Test Detail screen displays. Click on the Answer Sheets option within the Test Actions menu on the left side of the screen. 29 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Setup – Print Answer Sheets for PBTs FYI, Never use the View Usernames option under the Test Actions menu. FL uses the Student SSO accounts to login, not this feature.

7. Wait as the following message displays. “Your file is being created. We will let you know here when it is ready. Please note that your file, once ready, will only be available for download for 24 hours.” 32 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Setup – Print Answer Sheets for PBTs
8. Notice that initially, the circle above the message has a zero in it. Once the file is ready, the circle will turn red and will display the number of files ready for download. Click on the red circle. 33 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Setup – Print Answer Sheets for PBTs
9. When you click on the red circle, the following message will display. “Your answer sheet is ready for download. Please note that this download link will expire on day of week, mm/dd/yyyy at h:mm PM. Download it now.” Click on the Download it now link. 10. 11. Open Windows Explorer/Finder and find the zipped answersheet file in your Downloads folder. Double-click on the zipped answersheet file. 12. 15. Verify that the marker dots display on your printouts. The answer sheets will NOT scan if the locator dots are not included. These marker dots help the scanner align the test results for scanning. 37 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Setup – Print Answer Sheets for PBTs
1.From your IBTP Home Page, select the course Section 2.Click on the Upcoming Tests tab 3.Make note of the Online Passcode 4.Click on Monitor icon to access Proctor Dashboard 38 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Administration – Proctor Dashboard On test day, the teacher accesses the Proctor Dashboard to get the Online Passcode and to monitor student progress.
Teacher confirms the roster for the test in the Proctor Dashboard. The list of students assigned to the test displays. Display the online passcode where students can see it. 39 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Administration – Proctor Dashboard
Proctor Dashboard View the number of students who have Not Started, are In Progress, and have Completed the test If the Device ID shows a Monitor icon, the student is either actively taking the test, or has paused the test If the Device ID shows a Pencil icon, the student has submitted their test. 40 Test Administration – Proctor Dashboard

How students login to IBTP for testing: Students log into testing computers using the following login: Username: onlinetest Password: broward Double-click on the Schoolnet SecureTester icon, which should display on the desktop of every computer that will be used for testing. 43 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Administration – Student Experience
If you get the following error when double-clicking on Schoolnet Secure Tester, verify that the student has logged into the testing computer using the onlinetest/broward login instead of their normal computer login. 44 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Administration – Student Experience
If the following screen displays before reaching the FLDOE Single-Sign-On Student Portal login screen, be sure to select Students from the drop-down menu and NOT Broward County School District. 45 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Administration – Student Experience WARNING: If an option other than Students is selected like Broward County School District, the browser’s cookies will need to be cleared and the student will have to login again.
The FLDOE Single Sign-On Student Portal login screen displays. The student logs in with their FLDOE Single Sign-On Account username and password. 46 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Administration – Student Experience
The Online Test Access dialog box displays. Once the student is supplied the test’s Online Passcode, they will enter it and click Go. The Passcode is not case sensitive. 47 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Administration – Student Experience
Their Class and Test Name display. If this is correct, click on the Start Your Test button. 48 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Administration – Student Experience My Class: If the wrong class displays, they can click on the “If this is the wrong class, click here” link. A drop-down menu of all of the classes the student is enrolled in displays and they can select another class/course. Test Name: If the student is not in the correct test, have them click on the “If this is the wrong test, click here” link and they will be prompted to reenter the Online Passcode.
The test’s welcome message screen displays, similar to the one displayed below. Click on the Start Test Now button in the lower-right corner of the screen. 49 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Administration – Student Experience

Students can highlight passage text by clicking on the Highlighter button and dragging a box across what they want highlighted. 51 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Administration – Student Experience Students can also flag items to be reviewed later by clicking on the Flag button.

If a student has submitted their test prematurely, their test can be reset by anyone who has access to the Proctor Dashboard. The classroom teacher, school leadership, and Student Assessment Department staff have access to the Proctor Dashboard. A student’s test may also be completely deleted. However, do this only with great caution. To reset a student’s test: 1. Click on the Pencil icon in the Proctor Dashboard. 58 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Reset Student Test
2. At the bottom of the Score screen, click on the Resume Online or Clicker Test (Student Results are Retained) link. DO NOT click on the Delete Student Test Results button. 59 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Reset Student Test

Wait a minute, your screen will be refreshed and you will be brought to the top of the Score screen with the addition of the message, “This student started the test but has not yet submitted it.” 4. The monitor icon instead of the pencil icon displays to the left of the student’s name, indicating that their test is no longer submitted. The student can now log back into the test to resume taking the test. 62 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Reporting – Data Collection Report Use the Data Collection Report to determine which students have not taken the Infrastructure Trial Test so you know who must still take the Training Test before BSA testing begins. To access the Data Collection Report: 1.From the IBTP home page, select the course Section. 2.Click on the Upcoming Tests tab. 3.Click on the name of the test to enter the Test Detail screen.
4. Click on the Status & Student Comments menu on the left. This menu displays the number of students that have taken the test, whether the test has started, and a link to the Data Collection Report. 5. Click on the Data Collection Report link. Use this report to determine who has not taken the Infrastructure Trial Test and therefore needs to take the Training Test before BSA testing begins. 63 BSA TEST ADMINISTRATION TRAINING Test Reporting – Data Collection Report
6. This level will show you whether all within the section have completed the test. If not all have tested, click on the course section to drill down. The Teacher view will display the section selected in the IBTP Home Page. You can hover over the test subject to see the test name.
