The ECO council

OUR AIM Our aim is to make our School more ECO friendly and create a clean and safe environment for all. Raise the profile of recycling Reduce litter Improve our school environment

Where we are Currently  Recycling Paper and cardboard per week– with a recycling bag in EVERY classroom  Cleaning Litter from the Lofthouse and south yard area at form times  Picking litter from the lines every half term  Promoting recycling and cleanliness through assembly's, notices, digital signage and form time discussions  Discussing with Bury Council ways to improve recycling within school

Benefits of not littering  It keeps our school looking tidy  It makes our school a safe environment  It helps our community and wildlife  Our house bins are checked each week. The House with the most waste receives reward points that go towards good things for YOU

This year?  We are hoping to set up and look after an ECO friendly school garden  Various fun activities and events to make you and our community aware of the importance of not littering and recycling  Your opinion matters – weekly discussions in form about the well-being of your school

It’s YOUR school – Look after it We have increased our ECO-council this year to ensure a whole school approach. But it is up to you to do your bit. Only you can stop litter.

Our Future  This is your school, your environment and your community  Let others see us as the caring and hard- working people we are
