“When you Just Ain’t Feelin It”

By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat down, yea, we wept When we remembered Zion. We hung our harps Upon the willows in the midst of it. For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song, And those who plundered us requested mirth, Saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!” How shall we sing the LORD’s song In a foreign land?

By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat down, yea, we wept When we remembered Zion.

Confusion There we sat down, yea, we wept

When we remembered Zion.

Peace

We hung our harps Upon the willows in the midst of it.

Worship

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

…think on these things Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song, And those who plundered us requested mirth, Saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”

How can we sing the Lord’s song In a foreign land?

Not strange to God

do not be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life… So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; do not be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life… So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; Genesis 45:1-8

IN not AROUND

Mark 4:35-41 Let us cross over to the other side… Asleep Master, do You not care that we are perishing? and there was a great calm

Sometimes, you’ve got to ENCOURAGE your own self

1 Samuel 30:1-6 “but David encouraged himself in the LORD”

Good things come from Bad Situations

Romans 8:28 all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

How can I sing the Lord’s song In a foreign land? Realize that what is strange to you is not strange to God. Sing based on what is happening in you not on what is happening around you. Sometimes you’ve got to encourage yourself. Remember that good things come from bad situations.
