WELCOME TO SEMINAR

Monday, April 13, 2015  Do Now  Daily Target  I will complete my post high school plan. AGENDA 1.Do Now 2.Post High School Plan 3.Necessary Forms 4.Work on Post High School Plan HOMEWORK/PRACTICE: Study or Read for at least 10 minutes in your area of concern. Write about what you want to be when you grow up.

JUNIORS CAN:  register for spring SAT,  look up scholarships,  research post high school options,  work on homework. SENIORS:  Complete post high school graduation requirement

 A written statement explaining your plans after you graduate. (1 page typed).  Needs to include:  What – what are you planning to do? What are the next steps?  How – how are you going to pay? How are you going to achieve this goal? Consider Budget for postsecondary education or training and life, based on potential education and training choices.  When – Describe you timeline. When will you complete the necessary steps to be successful?  Why – Why is this the best plan for you? Consider Personal interests, abilities, and relationship to current career goals.  Who – who is going to support you in achieving this goal?  Where – Where will you be achieving this goal? - Which school, internship, military, place of employment, etc.?

 Along with your 1 page written statement you will need to complete the following forms and place in your portfolio  Beyond High School Plan Checklist  VANI – turn in to your counselor  The correct Career Path Template for your plan ▪ 4-year Institution ▪ Military ▪ Community or Technical College ▪ Employment ▪ Apprenticeship ▪ Other Plan  FAFSA or WAFSA
