Masks Around the World By Nicole l.

Masks A mask is a covering for all parts of the face. People all around the world use masks for lots of different things. They also use masks for being creative or for parades. This PowerPoint will show you how all different kinds of people use masks in their countries.

Peruvian Masks People in Peru use masks to cover the head of a high status after death. They also use masks to represent their different cultures. Peruvian’s use bold color masks to depict warriors and gods. That’s how people in Peru use masks.

Japanese Masks People in Japan use masks to ward off allergies during pollen season, and to wear them as a courtesy to other people when they have colds. Sometimes Japanese women feel like going out with less or zero makeup, so they wear masks.

Himalayan Masks People in the Himalayas use masks for classical traditions of Buddhism and Hinduism. They also use masks because they introduce the mysterious dance known as the Tibet as chain in which the protectors duties are invoked and negative forces dispersed.

Ukrainian Masks People in Ukraine use masks for disguise, camouflage, and deception. They also use masks so people don’t notice who they are when the people wearing the masks are bad.
