Renewable Resource Proposals Received by 8/25/00 Overview Presented to the Energy and Environmental Policy Committee September 7, 2000

62 Renewable Resources Proposed 34 separate packages received from 30 different firms Multiple options/projects proposed by firms

Wind Resources 23 resources in total; of these 3 already exist in Wyoming and California Remainder projected on-line from 2001 through 2008; most size greater than 25 MW WA, WY, Canada, OR,CA, CO

Hydro Resources 17 proposals in total of which 7 already in operation New resources projected on-line from 2002 through 2009 Canada, WA, Local, ID

Landfill Gas Resources 5 resources proposed; all would be new. Three firms proposed to develop same local resource; two in Canada Each proposal 10 to 25 or 30 MW

Waste Gas Resource One Proposal Received Local location Size and Timing Open

Solar Resources 9 resources proposed; all new 2001 through 2011 Local locations, WA and Open location

Biomass Resources 4 proposals received 3 already exist in CA, WA and Canada One proposed in OR in 2004

Geothermal Resources 2 resources proposed One existing in Utah and one new in OR in 2004 Less than 10 MW and MW

Waste Heat Resource One proposal Existing Canadian Resource Less than 5 MW
