Funding Plans in Human Service Funding Sarah King Senior Manager Community Services building our city building our community ACT Government

Developed in the context of:  Community Sector Funding Policy;  The Social Compact;  Major policy initiatives; and  Sector Consultation.

The Development Process 1: Communication  The Community Services Funding Policy requires the department to initiate communication with services 3 months prior to the expiration of Agreements.

2: Departmental Risk Analysis  takes into account service performance and reporting over the past 12 Months  recommends a funding period based on risk to the department and Territory  undertaken by funding agreement manager

Multi Year Funding Agreements Are offered where a service:  meets priority needs  meets performance measures  sustains service provision; and can demonstrate  engagement in quality improvement

One Year Agreements are offered where services:  need additional development  may be the subject of a program review  have been the subject of a review in the past year  are the subject of a purchase arrangement that needs to remain flexible  pilot programs
