Case Scenario Fatima is a Resident in Family Medicine, She is married and had 2 children. but She worried about how She can organize and manage her time during the training Programme? HOW YOU CAN ADVISE Fatima ABOUT TIME MANAGEMENT and balance her social life?

Case scenario Ibrahim is a Resident in Family Medicine, he is interested in post graduate training, but he face difficulty in organizing his time during daily work. How can you help Ibrahim to succeed and achieve his objective in post graduate training of Family Medicine?

لماذا لا نفكر بأهمية الوقت؟ إن التفكير بالأشياء الملموسة مثل السيارات والبيوت أسهل من التفكير بالوقت وذلك لأن لها قيمة ، ولكن لأن الوقت غير مرئي وغير قابل للمس فهو لا يحظى بالاحترام الكافي ، فلو سرق شخص مجوهرات منك فإنك ستنزعج وتخبر الشرطة عن الجريمة ولكن سرقة الوقت في العادة لا تعتبر حتى جنحة!

أهمية الوقت في حياة المسلم عن معاذ بن جبل رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " لن تزول قدما عبد يوم القيامة حتى يسأل عن أربع: عن عمره فيما أفناه وعن شبابه فيما أبلاه وعن ماله من أين اكتسبه وفيما أنفقه وعن علمه ماذا عمل به ؟ " وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " نعمتان مغبون فيهما كثير من الناس: الصحة والفراغ “ وعن أنس رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إن قامت الساعة وبيد أحدكم فسيلة فإن استطاع أن لا يقوم حتى يغرسها فليفعل“

التحسر على فوات الأوقات إذا تنبه العاقل ، وتذكر ما مضى من أيام عمره ، فإنه يندم على الساعات التي قضاها في اللهو والبطالة ، وأشد ساعات الندم حين يقبل المرء بصحيفة عمله ، قال تعالى : ( يومئذ يتذكر الإنسان وأنا له الذكرى 23، يقول يا ليتني قدمت لحياتي 24).الآيتان 23 ، 24 من سورة الفجر . وقال تعالى : ( أن تقول نفس يا حسرتى على ما فرطت في جنب الله وإن كنت لمن الساخرين ).آية 56 من سورة الزمر . فالعاقل من ندم اليوم حيث ينفعه الندم ، واستقبل لحظات عمره فعمرها قبل أن يأتي اليوم الذي لا ينفع فيه الندم.

إدراك قيمة الوقت أهم من تنظيمه الشخص الذي لا يعير أهمية لوقته لا يحتاج إلى أن ينظم وقته، فلا أهمية إن ضيع الساعات في المقاهي أو أمام التلفاز، الخطط والأهداف تصبح عند هذا الشخص أموراً سخيفة، لأنه لا يسير نحو غاية محددة بل تسير به الحياة نحو العدم، وحتى لو نظم وقته فلأي هدف وغاية؟ إن كان المرء لا يعرف إلى أين سيذهب ستصبح كل الطرق مناسبة له، الطرق الجيدة والسيئة، الطرق التي تسير به نحو الفلاح أو نحو الهلاك.

كيف تستثمر وقت الانتظار القصير؟

ما هو تنظيم الوقت؟ الأصل أن يكون: إدارة الذات، لكن الناس تعودوا على مصطلح تنظيم الوقت. فما هو تنظيم الوقت؟ -تحديد ماذا تريد أن تفعل –انجاز ما قمت بتحديده من أفعال هذا هو أساس تنظيم الوقت، هناك من يضيع الكثير من الوقت في النقطة الأولى، يخطط ويرتب ولا ينفذ ثم يعيد التخطيط، وهكذا يدور في دائرة مفرغة ولا ينهي شيئاً، تتراكم عليه الأعمال ويزداد الضغط عليه

Keys to Successful Time Management Self knowledge and goals: In order to manage your time successfully, having an awareness of what your goals are, will assist you in prioritizing your activities. Developing and maintaining a personal, flexible schedule: Time management provides you with the opportunity to create a schedule that works for you, not for others. This personal attention gives you the flexibility to include the things that are most important to you.

Effective aids: "To Do" list Write down things you have to do, then decide what to do at the moment, what to schedule for later, what to get someone else to do, and what to put off for a later time period Daily/weekly planner Write down appointments, classes, and meetings on a chronological log book or chart. If you are more visual, sketch out your schedule First thing in the morning, check what's ahead for the day always go to sleep knowing you're prepared for tomorrow Long term planner Use a monthly chart so that you can plan ahead. Long term planners will also serve as a reminder to constructively plan time for yourself

7 Principles of time management Be Active, Not Just Reactive. It will be easier to be active if you also follow principle #2, namely, setting goals. Set Goals. Prioritize Actions. Keep Your Focus. Create Realistic Deadlines D-O I-T N-O-W! Once you decide on a plan and are focused, just do it now. Here is an easy way to help you remember this principle: Balance Your Life.

D.O.I.T.N.O.W D = Divide what you have to do. Break big tasks into little tasks and give each part of that task a realistic deadline. O = Organize your materials, how you will do it. I = Ignore interruptions that are distractions T = Take the time to learn how to do things. N = Now, not tomorrow. O = Opportunity is knocking. Take advantage of opportunities. W = Watch out for time. Keep control of, how much time you spend on the Internet, reading and sending e-mails, watching TV, or talking on the phone.

Conclusion Time is your most important resource. Time is irreplaceable; nothing else will do - especially in relationships. Time management is a skill, like any other, that can and must be learned. Your time usage determines the quality of your life.

Continue The most important quality for time management is self-control. The most vital element in a positive mental attitude is a "sense of control". Time management enables you to control the sequence of events - the secret of success. You are always free to choose what you do first, what you do second, what you do not do at all..
