Tools used in athletic training  Equipment  Dumbbells  Curl bars  Treadmill  Bands  Medicine  Used all over the world

Research  Founded in 1950  Started out as 200 Athletic trainers with no degrees  Once housed in Greenville, North Carolina  Now total more than 30,000 plus  Students who want to become certified athletic trainers must earn a degree from an accredited athletic training curriculum such as injury and illness.

Research  Early history questioned their education and made them study and get a degree on this topic  New Athletic trainers work alongside a doctor and physical therapist to further knowledge

Mentor  Kevin Albertson  Baseball coach for me for 10 year, and my personal athletic trainer

Learning Process  Didn’t know much on this topic..  Had to push through the hard times and educate myself

Time spent  18 hours spent with mentor  4 on research  14 on workout schedule

Obstacles  Different mass-different workouts,  Time management  Patient for 3 years  Mentor struggles  Public speaking

Things I enjoyed  Being able to feel good about myself  Having a mentor that pushed me and didn’t give up on me.  Something I might pursue out of high school  Looking back I didn’t think I had the energy and time to complete.
