Sole Proprietorship A business owned by one person Simplest form of business ownership The owner (person) and the business are one in the same (unlimited liability) Best-Weigh Scales

Partnership Formal commitment between two or more people to run or own a business together Like a Sole Prop. The business and the owners are one in the same (unlimited liability) FER Construction

Corporation is a legal entity that is separate from its owners, the shareholders No shareholder of a corporation is personally liable for the debts, obligations or acts of the corporation

Corporation is identified by the terms "Limited", "Ltd.", "Incorporated", "Inc.", or "Corporation", "Corp." Just like a person a corporation can enter agreements, own land and property, employ people etc.
