Introduction In agriculture, crop protection still remains a major challenge (Research, Extension, farmers etc) Small-scale farmers have for a long time used several natural methods like pesticidal plants No proper marketing channels are established for Southern African part One step towards putting our farmers’ experience to the centre: would be assisting them in marketing of pesticidal plants through promotion of improved harvesting, packaging and handling techniques.

Project Goal To increase the wealth and improve livelihoods of small-scale farmers living in Ceasalpinioid woodland region through encouraging the marketing of pesticidal plants as cash crop

Specific objectives Conduct baseline market survey for pesticidal plants Establish/Improve marketing practices Introduce improved processing techniques Train farmers and extension workers in marketing of pesticidal plants Organise workshops to promote supply/use of pesticidal plants
