Abraham Lincoln was assonated in The Ford’s Theater on April 14, Lincoln’s Tomb is Abraham Lincoln’s final resting place along with his wife Mary Todd Lincoln and three of their four sons. Lincoln’s Tomb is located in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield IL. Oak Ridge is the largest cemetery in Illinois and the 2 nd most-visited cemetery in the U.S.
Lincoln’s Tomb is marked by a 117-foot tall granite obelisk surmounted with several bronze statues of Lincoln inside and outside of the tomb. The tomb was constructed by Larkin G. Mead during the year The Monument
The bust is located near the front entrance of Lincoln’s Tomb. The original marble bust is located in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

Visiting Lincoln’s Tomb Open for Visitors May through Labor Day in September Monday-Sunday 9-5 pm After Labor Day through October Tuesday-Saturday 9-5 pm November through February Tuesday-Saturday 9-5 pm Special Events Wreath Laying Ceremony June 5 th through August 28 th Tuesday nights at 7 pm. This includes Flag-Lowering Ceremony by the 114 th Infantry Regiment Illinois Volunteers Reactivated.
