KARMAYUGA the RIGHT every WRONG generation The quest for citizen heroes & humble volunteers

Our core objective : To Create Awareness about our fundamental duties as citizens, to provoke thought leadership and encourage “Citizen Activism for PEOPLE POWER” (that is what DEMOCRACY means)” by disseminating the knowledge we churn in our forums through our network of ethically and socially likeminded citizens. Our mission: To promote humble & involved social justice through citizen action by encouraging people to do whatever they can big or small action to make a difference in the society/ community we live in. Our Vision: To create an egalitarian, just, humane & responsible Society, where social justice & communal harmony prevails for one and all through proactive citizen action. We must remember to perform our fundamental duties so as to enjoy our fundamental rights. Our inherent Belief: Individual Social Responsibility of citizens is prime because, it is the Few Concerned Citizens who can BE and LEAD THE CHANGE and also ignite ACTION AGAINST APATHY for bringing other citizens together to Reclaim and Preserve our democratic values, fundamental rights & duties as given to ourselves in our constitution and Republic (which means People Rule) We sincerely, humbly BELIEVE & KNOW that, WE as an organization or the few people managing the movement or people who are associated with us, cannot RIGHT every WRONG by ourselves. Thus we have created this movement to bring together, people from all over the globe and create collective energy for change. You and I alone may be unable to RIGHT every WRONG but “Together as ONE we can RIGHT every WRONG”.

Why the need for being involved? Because it is not arrogant & mindless charity but humble & involved social justice that is wanting in our world….. …Because there is a need for people to get involved, understand social issues and perform our fundamental duties in any small way we can to bring about a change in our society and country….. …By giving, clothes, newspapers or a little money to charity, no one can change the life of a child or even think of changing the world… … Because what is needed is attitudinal change and that we all become the change, do our bit as citizens with our small actions to make a big difference with our collective energy…

These Fundamental rights have been provided at the cost of some fundamental duties. These are considered as the duties that must be and should be performed by every citizen of India. These fundamental duties are defined as: It shall be the duty of every citizens of India: - 1.To abide by the Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem; 2.To cherish and follow the noble ideals which inspired our national struggle for freedom; 3.To uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India; 4.To defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so; 5.To promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities; to renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women; 6.To value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture; 7.To protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers and wild life, and to have compassion for living creatures; 8.To develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform; 9.To safeguard public property and to abjure violence; 10.To strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavour and achievement.

How would citizens participate? The idea is to motivate and inspire citizens to volunteer & act by doing something noble for societal good, not just as altruism or charity, but as our civic duty as a citizen…. …… and because we care and have a responsibility to be the change…. ……and because whatever we do for the community, shall also create a better society and world for my own near and dear ones…. … and because I can start the action against apathy and lead the change to make others also get rid of their apathy.. …and because we can all be the change we want to see in our world.

What can we do? Nobody needs to give any money, clothes or newspapers to charity or join any NGO, club or society…. …Everyone can all perform our big or small citizen actions in their owns space and time be it outside our school, office or homes.. … like planting trees, feeding stray dogs, spending some quality time with street kids, stop people from indulging in eve teasing, car pool, stop taking futile printouts, refuse to pay bribes, file RTIs against bad governance, write articles against social ills, organize blood donation drive, pledge our organs, stop taking shower baths, come up with ideas to make a difference in society…. …. Motivate people in office, kids in schools, students in colleges to do their bit to BE THE CHANGE…..

Who can participate? Everyone from school kids to the youth, Executives, Homemakers to the elderly can perform citizen acts for change through Karmayuga… …everyone from can participate and do their bit to be the change and make a difference in society…...everyone in rural and urban India can do something and share their actions so that others can follow the same and be inspired….

Where can I get involved? You do not need to do anything extra or join us at our office or anything like that… … you can involved in your own space and time to voluntarily be the change… …. And then share the ideas with us on ….

Task at hand This is the Quest for Citizen Heroes & Humble Volunteers who go beyond their lives and business as usual to do something no matter how big or small and be the change to make a difference in the world, country and society we live in….. …..Karmayuga is being rolled out in partnership with the UN as a part of the IYV 10+ celebrations….

The matchbox is the KARMAYUGA symbol of igniting action against apathy and encouraging citizen voluntarism.

What’s the motivation? To be the change… … all people who participate shall get KARMAVEER certificates of participation and be listed on … 25 people with the highest votes for their actions shall get a Karmaveer Chakra… … 25 people with the most compelling actions/ideas shall get a Karmaveer Chakra and lsited with all our noble laureates on

Thank you. Tell me, and I will forget…Show me, and I might remember…Involve me, and I will understand.
