NEW ON CALL PROCEDURES

Today's Session  Pay Protection.  Staff Attendance.  Percentages Payable.  Rates.  Example of a weekly shift.  Example spreadsheet.  Example Attendance record.

Today's Session  Work Done.  Telephone Advice  Internet work  Attendance at work premises.  Payment for work done.  Travel Time.

Pay Protection All staff who currently receive On Call payments will be entitled to pay protection which will be paid for a period of 3 months If these On Calls are currently entered via the turnround, pay protection will be paid in May 2012, June 2012 and July (These are for on calls worked in April, May and June)

Pay Protection The protected pay will be calculated using an average of On Calls paid during July 2011 – December 2011 On Calls will continue to be recorded on the turnround and these payments will be shown on the payslips

Pay Protection On Calls recorded on the turnrounds for May, June and July will be compared against the previously calculated protected amounts When the comparison is made if the On Calls worked are more than the protected salary then just the On Call payment will show on the payslip No protected pay will be due in these cases

Pay Protection Staff who are a band 8C and below who previously received a regular On Call percentage payment will now need to claim the payments via the turnround The old On Call was paid currently and the new on call will now be paid a month in arrears these staff will not receive any payments for on call in April On Calls worked in April will therefore be paid in May

Pay Protection Staff at Band 8D and above who are due On Call are now entitled to a permanent payment of 1% The old On Call was paid currently and the new percentage will also be paid currently, therefore these staff will receive their protection in April, May and June

Rates A flat rate availability payment for all staff undertaking On Call, covered by Agenda for Change from band 1 to 8C, will be applied as follows: £13 Monday to Friday £17 Saturday and Sunday £22 Bank Holiday

Percentages Payable
