Ongoing Assessments Introducing… Feedback What is feedback? Feedback is an assessment for faculty to gather information from their students in real time about the students perception of teaching.

What are the Benefits? Faculty can receive data about their teaching after each class, each unit, or each week Faculty can see the impact of the changes they’ve made in their class immediately Faculty can see how the changes they’ve made in the course affect the end of term assessment results

What information does Feedback Collect? Faculty can gather feedback from students through 7 questions –6 questions are based on high-impact teaching practices- Focus on the strengths- what the students perceive as going well Reflect on the feedback of areas that need improvement and make adjustments for the next class When faculty see an upward trend of improvement, they are more likely to gradually work to improve teaching throughout the semester –A single question gages the students overall perception of the class- did they understand the material?

What kind of data does Feedback provide? Faculty get a quick view of their performance for the day via an ed digest Website report is available to view more detailed information about that sessions results Faculty can view their performance over multiple class sessions and see trends- –By Question –By Student Overtime shows faculty where the changes have shown improvement or areas that students struggled (by lesson, module, etc).

How is Feedback Used?
