Welcome to United States History Taught by: Ms. C.T. Hamlett

Home Assignment: Copy into notebook. DUE FRIDAY, SEPT.4TH Part I: List 3 reasons why someone would want to visit the location that you wrote about in your Warm-Up. Part II: List 3 reasons why someone wouldn’t want to visit the location that you wrote about in your Warm-Up. References: You must have at least one reference ( website, book, magazine, etc) for each section. HINT: you can’t use wikipedia.com

Example of Assignment: ( copy if necessary) Location: Monrovia Part I: Why someone would want to visit Monrovia. Reference: 1. Monrovia has beautiful white sand beaches. Part II: Why someone wouldn’t want to visit Monrovia. Reference: 1. Eighty percent of the crime in Monrovia is against tourists ( pick pocketing, money scams).

Daily Routine Enter the classroom by the Front door ( Ms. Hamlett will be there to greet you). Go to the book shelf located in the back of the classroom and retrieve your textbook. Sit at your desk and begin the Warm- Up. The Warm-Ups are to be written one under the other, unless collected the day before. Once your Warm-Up is complete, turn to your Class Notes section and await further instruction. When writing your Class Assignment, please follow the format for written class work that is located on the window shade. Your History section should be divided into the following sections: Warm-Up, Class Notes, Class Assignment, Home Assignment. During the last 3 minutes of the class period, pass your class assignment to the front of your row and pass your textbook to the back of the row to be returned to the bookshelf. Upon teacher direction, exit out of the Back door and throw away any trash that may be in your area.

CD Cover and Song List On one side of the sheet of paper provided, draw the cover of your CD that will describe what your school year will entail. You can use symbols, words, pictures, etc. On the other side of the paper write the titles of three songs that would be on this CD.
