We must be leaders and NOT followers ! By: Monica Broughton

My Task I interviewed the 6 th grade science teacher Mrs. Woodruff to understand her opinion about good leadership. I collected data and compared her thoughts to what I already knew. I also recorded important things that I learned from Mrs. Woodruff.

What did I ask? I first explained to Mrs. Woodruff my assignment. I asked her the following questions: –Do you think leadership is important? Why? –What are three characteristics of a good leader? –Have you ever been a bad leader? –What do you think the world would be like without good leaders?

Mrs. Woodruff’s Thoughts Good Leadership is important because it helps certain situations and businesses to operate properly. Good leaders help guide people toward success. Three characteristics of good leadership assertive, honest, kind. Yes, when I was young I was a bad leader. I told my friend not to share during break with the other girls, because they were not our friends. I should have let her made her own choices, but instead I chose to be mean. Without good leaders I think the world would be chaotic and out of control, because of the lack of order

What did I learn? I learned that leadership is very important. How we act and the people we hang out with affects our character, which can cause us to be good leaders or bad leaders. I am glad that we have good leaders because without a good leader we wouldn’t know what to do and how to function in the world. I will work extremely hard to be a good leader.

We should all be good leaders ! THANK YOU
