National Institutes of Health U.S. Department of Health and Human Services All NIEHS supported meetings must result in a specific product or measurable outcome that could be used to judge the success of the meeting (published manuscript, meeting report, evaluation data etc.) Budget: Include the number of attendees, if child care is provided, budget outline that is appropriate for the meeting location All conference applications must undergo a second level review by the Advisory Council of NIEHS. Additional time is required between receipt of application and conference start dates. Support for Conferences and Scientific Meetings (R13)

National Institutes of Health U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Support for Conferences and Scientific Meetings (R13) NIEHS would prefer to support conferences that are multidisciplinary in nature and foster interactions and exchanges among individuals who normally would not engage in such activities. Inclusion of graduate students, post docs, and junior investigators (funds can be requested for this purpose). Community participation in conferences and workshops: advocacy and public interest groups to discuss ethical, legal and social issues to sensitize scientists to their role in translation of research to community benefit.

Supplements are also granted to address unforeseen issues and emergencies. Training Core is allowed up to $10K for travel of students to a conference.
