Acts 1:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me

both in Jerusalem,

and in all Judaea, and in Samaria,

both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

In Jerusalem Chapter 1 to 7

The 11 apostles receive their instruction from Christ and watch his ascension.

Matthias is selected to replace Judas Iscariot as the 12 th apostle.

The Day of Pentecost arrives.

Peter gives his first recorded sermon.

Peter and John heal a lame man at the temple gate called Beautiful.

Peter and John are arrested and threatened by the Jewish council.

Ananias and Sapphira die for their deceit.

People are healed in Peter’s shadow.

An angel of the Lord frees the apostles from prison.

The first deacons are chosen, Greek-speaking Jewish Christians from outside Jerusalem.

An earthquake frees Paul and Silas from prison, and the prison guard believes.

On Paul’s third mission, there is a great revival in Ephesus.

Paul returns to Jerusalem and the soldiers save him from a riot.

A plot against his life is made known and Paul is escorted to Caesarea.

In Caesarea Paul testifies before governors and king Aprippa.

In Rome, he preaches and teaches to Jews and Gentiles from prison.

When did Paul write his epistles?

The book of Acts does not end with Paul’s death, but with him fighting the good fight of faith. Acts 28:31: Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
