Three types of Action (Call for Proposals) Research and Innovation Action (RIA) – Low Technology Readiness Level research and innovation (TRL) – All organisations funded at 100% of direct costs plus additional 25% towards indirect costs Innovation Actions (IA) – Higher TRL – All non-profit organisations funded same as RIA – For-profit-organisations funded at 70% of direct costs plus additional 25% of that towards indirect costs Coordination and Support Actions (CSA) – Coming together in large networks to discuss and agree potential research, standards, legislation, etc – Funded same as RIA (ie 100% +25% for all)

Submission process All on line via Participant PortalParticipant Portal Submission is either Single Stage or Two Stage Single Stage is as it sounds. – max 70 pages for RIA or IA and 50 pages for CSA – For 2016 closes on 26 th Jan 2016 – For 2017 closes on 1 st Feb 2017 Two Stage (never CSA but not all RIA/IA): – 1 st Stage is 10 pages, Excellence and part of Impact only, closes 20 th Jan 2016 (or 26 Jan 2017) – 2 nd Stage, if successful at Stage 1, is full proposal (max 70 pages), closes on 29 th Sep 2016 (or 19 Oct 2017)
