My Interview with Anne Frank Kellie Thomas Home

Anne Frank Anne Frank was one of the million Jewish children who died in the Holocaust. She lived in hiding with her parents and older sister for two years before being captured by the German police. While in hiding, Anne Frank kept a diary, which was later published into a book for all to read.

Do you think that due to technology, it is easier for students today to express themselves? “ I think that in the 21 st century, it is much easier for students to express themselves. Students are able to create blogs, web pages, and also write in a more traditional way that I had done. There are many ways for students to write down their ideas and express themselves, it just depends on whether they are interested in doing so.”

If you were writing a diary today, would you write it the way you had before or would you express your ideas differently? “If I were writing my diary in the 21 st century, due to my circumstances, I would have to keep it private. However, I would definitely use new technology to write my diary. I would probably type it. Also, I would take pictures with a digital camera to help show how I was living.”

Aside from using technology to write your diary today, is there anything else that you wish you had at that time? “I would have loved to be able to you networking sites such as Facebook or MySpace. I would have been able to use these sites because you can make certain information private so no one would be able to find me. However, at the same time, I would have been able to stay in contact with family members and friends that I missed very much.”
