o God is righteous (1 John 2:29; Romans 3:10). o An appetite for righteousness begins with an appetite for God. GOD – The source of righteousness

o God has revealed His mind that we may know righteousness. o 2 Timothy 3:16; John 16:8, 13; Romans 1:16-17 o We cannot have a healthy diet of God’s righteousness without God’s word in Christ. THE WORD – The revelation of righteousness

o God’s Son reigns now over His spiritual kingdom. o King of righteousness (Luke 2:32-33; Acts 2:30-31; Hebrews 1:8-9). o To be filled with righteousness one must seek the rule of the Son over his entire life. THE KINGDOM – The rule of righteousness

o 1 Timothy 6:11 But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. THE WAY – The righteous standard to be followed

o Titus 2:12 Instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, THE WAY – The righteous standard to be followed

o 1 John 3:7 Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; THE WAY – The righteous standard to be followed

o Philippians 1:11 Having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. THE WAY – The righteous standard to be followed

o Romans 6:13 And do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. THE WAY – The righteous standard to be followed

o God promises a crown of righteousness to all who keep the faith and finish the course (2 Timothy 4:8). THE CROWN – The reward of righteousness
