Objective 1.0 Apply strategies to enhance personal development and interpersonal skills to obtain a greater understanding of self through self-evaluation

1.01 Factors and Strategies that Promote Personal Development Prioritize by importance To-do lists Planners Calendars Do not over commit yourself Learn to say no Avoid procrastination (what is it? I’ll tell you tomorrow) Develop self-esteem Know your strengths and weaknesses Accept yourself as you are Be aware that hormones will affect you physically and emotionally

Environmental influences Establish good mental health qualities Social influences Teens want to spend more time with friends than family Environmental influences Neighborhood, friends, school Establish good mental health qualities Ask for help when needed School counselor, trusted adult Express emotions in a positive way
