Shared Catalog – H Customer Value Enable institutions to share catalog records between the network members as a mean to share cataloging effort across institutions, improve visibility of holdings across the network and manage resources effectively Description: Members of cataloging Network will manage the shared cataloging of the Network Zone Members of a cataloging network will be able to seamless search the network’s shared catalog it will be possible to see which members are using this record to describe their own inventory and to drill down and see the detailed inventory availability for a specific member for a specific record It will be possible for staff in any member of the cataloging network to seamlessly edit a shared record, modify it and save it back into the shared catalog managed in the Network Zone

14  Ex Libris Ltd., Internal and Confidential Feature Resource Sharing Basic ISO End to End - H Customer Value Institutions will be able to manage their resource sharing services without relying on external broker systems Institutions will be able to utilize peer to peer ISO ILL based communications, both as borrower and as lender. Description: Alma will support an end to end peer to peer workflow, implementing both the lender and borrower roles through the entire process – request, ship, receive, and for physical and returnable material also the receive and return actions. The Alma screens and task lists will be used to trigger the relevant ISO ILL messages, and support monitoring the different statuses at which the request may be found.

15  Ex Libris Ltd., Internal and Confidential Feature Fulfillment Networks Booking – H Customer Value The booking functionality will enable library patrons to reserve resources in a time framed manner, enabling coordinating availability of resources. The library will gain better control of short loan and high request rate resources by imposing a booking policy on resources on this type. Description: The Alma booking functionality will be fully supported, enabling placing and monitoring requests in Alma back-office screens as well as using Primo front end interfaces. The requesting process, hold shelf management, loan and return workflows will be fully supported and integrated in Alma’s Fulfillment task lists and screens.
