Goals and Activities of the North TIER  Goals Provide high quality, sustained professional development for improved technology integration. Effective integration of technology in the classroom to improve teaching and learning  Activities Online Courses- PBS TeacherLine, ETLO Regional Ed Tech Conference Grants

Online Learning Implementation  50 Facilitators from across the North TIER were trained in facilitating an online course  These facilitators turned around and facilitated an online course purchased from ETLO  Future Plans Continue to offer online courses to all teachers in the Partnership Area Develop online courses that we can offer and run on our own course management systems after the grant is over Develop a plan to award ISTE certificates of proficiency in the ISTE NETS*T

Successes oFairfax County has been very successful oHave arranged for credit through a local University oHave a 62.7% ETLO completion rate across the TIER Challenges  Staff changes in the middle of the online facilitators training  Publicity across 13 different school divisions  Some divisions are not as ready for online learning  Competition between TeacherLine/ETLO courses
