II. Changes in Males and Females A.Increase in height B.Increase in perspiration C.Growth of underarm hair D.Growth of pubic hair E.Increase in size of reproductive organs

III. Secondary Sex Characteristics characteristics of adult men and women that develop during puberty. A.These changes result from male and female hormones produced by endocrine system. 1.Estrogen – hormone that affects female sexual development and menstrual cycle. 2.Testosterone – hormone that affects male sexual development.

IV. Female Secondary Sex Characteristics A.Increase in breast size B.Widening of hips C.Beginning of menstruation D.Formation of mature eggs, or ova (female reproductive cells)
