Irish Adventure

Project description  Students will spend two weeks in Kilkenny

 Students stay with host families  2 or 3 students with one family  board and lodging  activities  drive to work

 Workplacements in  car garages  agricultural machinery garages  truck repair garages  car-parts shops  machinery parts shops  panel and spray repair workshops  lawn mower and chain saw repair shops  motorbike repair garages/shops Each student will be placed seperately!

 Objectives  use of the foreign language  integrated in everyday work  expandation of their horizons  realisation of their future opportunities in the labor market  socialisation with employers, host families and locals  get to know everyday work, culture, history  exchange of experiences  capacity for teamwork

Tasks  Everyday work  Fill in forms  Sales conversation and customer advice  Documentation of the project (blog, diary)  Europass  Exchange experiences with colleagues  Exchange experiences with students  Presentation and final get-together

Preparation  Students will be in the same class  Lessons for regional and cultural studies  The capital Dublin  Economy in Ireland  Local companies  Famous Irish people  Irish films and music  Specific language training
