Page EDS 2 – Release 3 August 2007 EDS 2 – Early Delivery Systems SCADA / NOM Data Issues Management –Definition Nodal EMS will provide tools to measure SCADA and SE performance Performance measurements are based on Telemetry and SE Standards SCADA not performing to standards will be: –reported using ERCOT Enterprise Data Warehouse functionality –available to ERCOT and to the responsible MP via the MIS portal –resolved jointly between ERCOT Operations Support and the MPs –Conclusion Operations Support will need a Data Issues Management Tool –Short term to resolve p2p issues –Long term to resolve on-going performance issues p2p ICCPICCP MPs Issue Mgmt EMS ERCOT EDW
Page EDS 2 – Release 3 August 2007 EDS 2 – Early Delivery Systems SCADA / NOM Data Issues Management –Basic Tool Requirements SCADA / NOM issues creation –import of issues from EDW or other sources Manage a list of ERCOT and MP contacts with contact information Notify ERCOT and MPs when issues are Assigned, Updated, Closed Manage and track issues –Pending (new issue) –Assigned (to MP and/or ERCOT) –To Implement (Service Request / NOMCR created and linked) –Closed (issue resolved, verified and closed) Web based with a thin client Reporting and Trend Analysis Secure access –ERCOT has access to all issues –MPs can access only their assigned issues
Page EDS 2 – Release 3 August 2007 EDS 2 – Early Delivery Systems Entry Criteria StatusComment EMS Nodal has completed ITest and is installed in EDS 75%EMS is completing 2B & 2C FAT testing prior to the EDS install. EDW Telemetry and SE Performance Reports have completed ITest and are installed in EDS 40%SE Performance reports are completing FAT testing. Telemetry reports will be provided using a workaround until late MIS Portal has completed ITest and installed in EDS 0%MIS will not be available until late MP Readiness StatusComment MPs have enrolled and can access MIS 0%MIS is not available. MPs can retrieve Telemetry and SE Performance Reports 0%MIS is not available, performance reports will be provided via until the portal is operational. EDS 2 Release 3 – Entry Criteria Status
Page EDS 2 – Release 3 August 2007 EDS 2 – Early Delivery Systems Exit Criteria Status TSP/QSE data points reasonably conform to Telemetry and SE Performance criteria 0% ERCOT Operations have operating procedures in place to address performance issues 0% Network Security Analysis functions are verified and ERCOT Operations have procedures in place to manage 15% ERCOT SE is tuned and meets performance criteria 0% Load Modeling has been restructured, load adaptation has been verified and bus load forecast changes have been verified 20% EDW reports correctly post to MIS and can be accessed 0% EDW reports have been verified within ERCOT and by MPs 0% EDS 2 Release 3 – Exit Criteria (current) Status
