Charles Dickens- Hero or Villain? By Maisie

Charles Dickens is a hero because……….. He told the public about the way children were being treated, through his books e.g. Oliver Twist. Also he made Christmas a bigger thing. if Charles Dickens never existed then we wouldn’t the Christmas we have now.

Charles Dickens is a villain because………. When he was a young boy his family were in serious debt, because they hadn't paid for his food and owed the man 40 shillings. To get money his family bought in a lodger, his name was James Lamatt.

I think that…….. I think that Charles Dickens is a hero because he is a great writer. Personally I don’t particularly like him because he is very long winded. But to other people they might consider him a hero as a result of his great talent of writing!
