Make it in the Netherlands! Advisory report Social Economic Council (SER) the-netherlands.aspx  Dutch companies, government and higher education institutions should call on talented international students to make their careers in the Netherlands and to build lasting ties with the Netherlands.  It will boost the quality of education and of success rates among both international and Dutch students, improve international’s academic experience and improve the labour market in the Top sectors and businesses. the-netherlands.aspx  70% int. students want to stay in NL but only 27% actually do! 2

Make it in the Netherlands! Purpose of MiitN To make sure that all international students feel welcome in the Netherlands, and know that they can start their career here. To have as many international students as possible decide to work in the Netherlands after they graduate, especially in the top sectors and sectors with good labour-market prospects. Requires strategic recruitment and work to boost retention before, during and after students’ studies. To ensure that all international students maintain a bond with the Netherlands after they have completed their studies, even if they return abroad. 3
