Sergio Astorga Period 2

Anxiety Disorder is when you feel scared but don’t really have a reason to be and you know there is no harm. Phobic disorder is when you have a phobia or fear of something and makes you get anxious.

The main idea of this section is fears, or phobias, that people have and what happens when they try to face them.

Anxiety- fear that does not have an identifiable source or fear caused by a danger that no longer exists. Anxiety Disorder- when anxiety persists and interferes with normal, everyday functioning. Phobia- when anxiety is related to a specific situation or object. When you feel uncomfortable or scared when you know there’s no real harm involved.

When you have a phobia of something you are scared of it or it creeps you out, like claustrophobia, being scared of closed in small places. Its better if you know what you are scared of so you can try to treat it or just stay away from it.

Jesse was on his way to school when he saw a hobo he did not know, he was walking fast towards him. Jesse has xenophobia, which is the fear of strangers. When the hobo walked up to him, Jesse ran as fast as he could without looking back. He ran yelling and screaming all the way home. He doesn’t know why, he’s just scared of strangers.

I think that everyone has certain fears and reactions to when they face those fears and that was what this section was about.

My section was basically about fear inside people, and how people have fears they don’t know of or don’t even know why they’re scared.
