Sunday Morning Service For the world may say “What don’t kill you will make you stronger”, but God said what you do kill will save you!! Deuteronomy 25:17-18 (NLT) by Pastor T.A. Brown Sunday Morning Service December 13, 2015 This message was given to me approximately 11/12/15 (Explain why and I’m still not sure). The world will not understand this message and some of you will also comprehend, but God said that’s okay because its not for everyone to understand. I will speak using examples of what God is trying to reveal to the church. Why struggle to pray, praise the Lord, attend service and when they do it’s a chore. God is starting Judgment right inside the church. The world is lost and the backslider has not been totally revealed yet. God said the enemy within should have been killed when you left egypt, but we as a church has allowed the enemy to live. Bible studies from Pastor Fee has been great and God is downloading revelation to the church and how to fight the enemy. Read title and passage------------------------------------------
Deuteronomy 25:17-18 (NLT) 17 “Never forget what the Amalekites did to you as you came from Egypt. 18 They attacked you when you were exhausted and weary, and they struck down those who were lagging behind. They had no fear of God. We are living today among many who failed to acknowledge God. God wants his church and the Christian to fight and destroy the enemy within in order for him to use us.. The Amalekites were a people of war and destruction. They lived in the southwest part of Cannaan. Their beliefs were sacrifice of their own children, sexual immoral, terrorist acts on the people of Israel. They had no fear of Israel’s God and they were not going to go allow them to cross over to the promise land. They used various ambush guellrilla type of warfare attacking the weak and those straggling in the rear while the children of Israel would wander through the wilderness. They didn’t show any mercy toward women, children, and the elderly The Amalekites were desendants of Esau and who son Eliphaz had a son by the name of Amalek, who great grand father was Jacob and Issac. Amalekites were the first adverary that the Israelites faced when they departed from Egpyt. Next slide showing background----------------
Genesis 36:15-16 (NLT) 15 Esau’s children and grandchildren became the leaders of different clans. The sons of Esau’s oldest son, Eliphaz, became the leaders of the clans of Teman, Omar, Zepho, Kenaz, 16 Korah, Gatam, and Amalek. Amalekites were named after their leader Amalek. Their objective was to kill and destroy the Israelites. Remember when you 1st came out of the Egypt the enemy was awaiting for you arrival. The enemy is within.
Exodus 17:11-16 (NLT) 11 As long as Moses held up the staff with his hands, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites gained the upper hand. 12 Moses’ arms finally became too tired to hold up the staff any longer. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side, holding up his hands until sunset. 13 As a result, Joshua and his troops were able to crush the army of Amalek.
14 Then the Lord instructed Moses, “Write this down as a permanent record, and announce it to Joshua: I will blot out every trace of Amalek from under heaven.” 15 Moses built an altar there and called it “The Lord Is My Banner.”* 16 He said, “They have dared to raise their fist against the Lord’s throne, so now* the Lord will be at war with Amalek generation after generation. One thing we as saints must understand despite how mighty your enemy is God is always bigger. God wants to prove himself over and over again, but as a saint we need to be in tune with God. Its hard to fight the enemy and be prepared for battle if we are not in tune with God. God is wanting us to build a spiritual altar of remembrance in our walk.
1 Samuel 15:1-3 (NLT) 1 One day Samuel said to Saul, “I anointed you king of Israel because the Lord told me to. Now listen to this message from the Lord! 2 This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I have decided to settle accounts with the nation of Amalek for opposing Israel when they came from Egypt. 3 Now go and completely destroy* the entire Amalekite nation—men, women, children, babies, cattle, sheep, camels, and donkeys.’” God will give a order for us to settle the sinful accounts we have encountered in our live. AFTER DOING A STUDY REFERENCE THE AMALEKITES I NOTICED THAT GOD HAD A PERSONAL HATE TOWARD THEM. MANY TIMES THROUGHOUT THE OLD TESTAMENT GOD ORDERED THE ISRAELITES TO DESTROY AND KILL ANYTHING THAT OPOSED THEM FOR ENTERING THE PROMISE LAND GESHITES, HITITES, MOABITES, ETC, BUT THEIR WAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT ABOUT THE AMALEKITES. WHO ARE THEY? AND WHAT DID THEY DO AGAINST GOD?
1 Samuel 15:5-9 (NLT) 5 Then Saul went to the city of Amalek and lay in wait in the valley. 6 Saul sent this message to the Kenites: “Move away from where the Amalekites live or else you will die with them. For you were kind to the people of Israel when they came up from Egypt.” So the Kenites packed up and left. God gives a order if you refuse to kill the enemy within then the you will also die with the enemy within. The Kenites understood they needed to depart from anything that could get them killed.
7 Then Saul slaughtered the Amalekites from Havilah all the way to Shur, east of Egypt. 8 He captured Agag, the Amalekite king, but completely destroyed everyone else. 9 Saul and his men spared Agag’s life and kept the best of the sheep and cattle, the fat calves and lambs—everything, in fact, that appealed to them. They destroyed only what was worthless or of poor quality. Saul failed to kill the Amalekites and spared even the king. Failing to destroy the enemy will allow the enemy to restore and come and kill you. Note that he spared the king agag. Failing to kill the enemy within ranging from, lying, sexual immoral, slothfulness(no prayer life, seldom read the word, backbiting, no forgiveness, idolatry(social media),these enemies will continue visit you and began to detour your walk. God is starting with the church.
2 Samuel 1:5-10 (NLT) 5 “How do you know that Saul and Jonathan are dead?” David demanded. 6 The young man answered, “I happened to be on Mount Gilboa. I saw Saul there leaning on his spear with the enemy chariots closing in on him. The enemy that Saul was suppose to kill came back and killed him later. The purpose of killing the enemy within so it won’t come back and kill us.
7 When he turned and saw me, he cried out for me to come to him 7 When he turned and saw me, he cried out for me to come to him. ‘How can I help?’ I asked him. 8 And he said to me, ‘Who are you?’ I replied, ‘I am an Amalekite.’ 9 Then he begged me, ‘Come over here and put me out of my misery, for I am in terrible pain and want to die.’ The enemy has no mercy once you allow it to live within. That same enemy will be the killer of your soul. There had to be witness.
10 “So I killed him,” the Amalekite told David, “for I knew he couldn’t live. Then I took his crown and one of his bracelets so I could bring them to you, my lord.” 1. The enemy within will give a account how he killed you. FLESH-SATAN
2 Samuel 1:13-15 (NLT) 13 Then David said to the young man who had brought the news, “Where are you from?”And he replied, “I am a foreigner, an Amalekite, who lives in your land.”14 “Were you not afraid to kill the Lord’s anointed one?” David asked. 15 Then David said to one of his men, “Kill him!” So the man thrust his sword into the Amalekite and killed him.
Esther 3:10-11 (NLT) 10 The king agreed, confirming his decision by removing his signet ring from his finger and giving it to Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite—the enemy of the Jews. 11 “Keep the money,” the king told Haman, “but go ahead and do as you like with these people.” The enemy will show up in disguised but will be the same enemy. Agagnite was form from king agag that Saul had spared who shared the same thoughts Amalekites to kill and utterly destroy the Israelites.
Esther 3:13(NLT) and sent by messengers into all the provinces of the empire. The letters decreed that all Jews—young and old, including women and children—must be killed, slaughtered, and annihilated on a single day. Failing to kill the enemy alcohol, drugs, gambling, thuglife, etc cannot only kill you but also family members and others who didn’t have anything to do with your failure to kill the enemy within.
“WHAT ARE THE REGULATIONS OF WAR?” GO TO THE NEXT SLIDE AND READ-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Deuteronomy 20:1-4 (NLT) 1 “When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid. The Lord your God, who brought you safely out of Egypt, is with you! 2 Before you go into battle, the priest will come forward to speak with the troops. You will face the enemy within and it may be strong from the past years we never killed it. But remember the regulation of war against the enemy. The Lord brought you out safe and he will also help you fight this mighty enemy. How? The priest was will speak to you before you go to battle. (Pastor Fee Bible Studies that prepare us throughout the weak how to fight the enemy). Sunday coming in on empty.
3 He will say, ‘Listen to me, all you men of Israel 3 He will say, ‘Listen to me, all you men of Israel! Do not be afraid as you go out to fight today! He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!’ Go to the next slide and read---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Timothy 2:3-4 (NLT) 3 Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 And as Christ’s soldier, do not let yourself become tied up in the affairs of this life, for then you cannot satisfy the one who has enlisted you in his army. Paul exhorts Timothy how to keep the enemy dead. Paul describes you as soldier and you were enlisted by Christ into his army.
WHO IS YOUR ENEMY, AND WHAT MUST YOU DO TO WIN THIS WAR?
Galatians 5:19-21 (NLT) 19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, 20 idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your own little group,
21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Ephesians 6:10-18 (NLT) 10 A final word: Be strong with the Lord’s mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil. 12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms. Give closing exhortation with the full armor of God.
13 Use every piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared.* 16 In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan.*
17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere.
Close with altar call and sinners prayer for the internet.
