HUMAN SERVICES

Current Issues – –96,192 feedings provided August 13 and 14 occurring at multiple sites –Comfort stations open in the following counties: (5) Charlotte County; (2) DeSoto, (1) Polk, and (1) Hardee –Shelters still open: 21 (2200 occupancy) –Trucks with water and ice are arriving LSA #1 at Lakeland Airport –7 trucks of food are at the LSA waiting for deployment and 120,000 meals have been delivered to various sites –Matching registered volunteers with needs in impacted areas –Developing a list of churches that will house volunteers –Establishing ongoing animal treatment and sheltering in Charlotte County –Staging resources at LSAs (1 and 2) Human Services
