Eye Piece as a Part of Human Ingenuity Human ingenuity- the quality of being cleverly inventive or resourceful; inventiveness. Eye Pieces are where basically invented because someone notice that convex shaped glasses magnify images. This is evidence of the term human ingenuity.

The Start Who - a artisan. Most historians believe monks or craftsmen in Pica or Venice When - around 1352 Where – Italy Why- for distance vision. How- from 2 glass crystal stones (Like little magnifying glasses).

How Eye Pieces have Evolved Over time eye pieces have evolved in many ways. Whether being use to view objects a few feet away or thousands of feet away. New technologies have come along such as tinted glasses, digital microscopes, and contacts.

Visual Representation Some of the earliest spectacles.

Visual Representation Photo of the digital microscope.

Spectacles Use Today spectacles are popular accessory for both men and women. They are no longer only worn for the bettering of vision. They are also worn for fashion and to block the sun.

Contacts Contacts started in 1887 when F.E Mueller created clear easy to use contacts contact lens. Contact lenses are corrective, cosmetic, or therapeutic lens usually placed on the cornea of the eye.

Microscopes Two Dutch spectacle makers, Zaccharias Janssen and his father are the creators of the microscope. Microscope- a instrument that magnifies the image of small objects.

Digital Cameras In 1975, Steven Sasson of the Eastman Kodak Company, was the one who created the first digital camera. Digital cameras :  Are easy to carry  Require no film  Use memory cards  Allow immediate view of photos  Delete photos  Records videos

Quiz Name two type of eye pieces. Why where spectacles first invented? What do the microscope do? How are contacts used? What are some advantages of the digital camera? How have eye pieces evolved? How are eye pieces connected to human ingenuity?
