Agenda Bell Ringer Supplies Check Portfolio Log Handout Vocabulary List #1 Handout

Bell Ringer I want you to write about a time when nature ruined your day. What I mean by that is give me a situation when the weather stopped you from something you were looking forward to, or in the middle of. Maybe a swarm of hostile wasps roamed the streets of your neighborhood one holiday weekend, or maybe that time you were held prisoner in your tent because of a wandering bear? Please write at least 4 – 5 sentences.

Portfolio Assignment Log This will help keep track of your work and hopefully help you stay organized. As you receive your assignments back from me, simply check or “x” the line next to the specific assignment, but not until you get it back please! This is to be the first sheet in your binder Please label your dividers as follows in this order: Vocabulary Classwork Writing Tests/Quiz Handouts

Vocabulary List #1 You’ll be given 6 Vocabulary lists this quarter every Monday. Every Friday there will be an assignment attached to these lists for a grade. At the end of the 9 weeks there will be a summative test on all the words from every list. Please: define the word Identify its part of speech (verb, noun, etc…) Write a sentence using the word correctly (you may change the tense of the word if necessary, for example if your word was “charge”, you may write: “The King smiled as the enemy armed charged his palace gates.”)
