Welcome to the Parent Forum

What do parents want from the Parent Forum? Parents to get into groups and discuss with a lead person reporting views from each group.

Why we would like a Parent Forum? To understand the views of the parents as a group For parents to understand the work of the Academy better To work together to improve what we do by discussing important areas with parents To communicate with parents clearly and more effectively To give our parents the chance to suggest what we might do better and be part of school decision making

Rules of the group Only parent/carers of children currently at Manchester Health Academy will be members Any parent/carer is able to join the group or attend any meeting throughout the year Individual issues regarding staff, pupil, parents will not be discussed at the meetings No staff, student or parent names will be used at the meetings No complaints regarding individual issues can be raised at the meetings Meetings will take place 6 times per year with additional meetings arranged as and when required Meetings are to be informal and provide opportunities for open discussion The chairperson is responsible for making sure that each meeting is led effectively Please arrive on time to the meeting, listen to others and avoid any conflict
