While I adore Lena Dunham on HBO’s Girls, I cannot say the same for the eggplant off-the-shoulder Zach Posen gown she wore. While the dress is beautiful and Lena looked stunning and fresh faced (as she should, she is only 26). The dress not only adds years to her gorgeous complexion but at times Lena looked uncomfortable. I am a believer in the saying “You only look as good as you feel” and you could tell, Lena was not feeling it. But congrats Lena and the rest of the Girls crew. Nene Leakes is another one of my favorite personalities who also had the right idea but wrong result. I absolutely see where she was going with this but the skirt is too wide and the hanging fabric from the belt seems out of place. While the bottom of the gown is not ideal, the top is more tasteful than what I have grown accustom to from Ms. Leakes (and I like it). I would have loved to see a more exaggerated collar. Zero Dark Thirty’s Jessica Chastain’s plunging sea foam Calvin Klein gown looked striking from afar but as she stopped to pose on the carpet, it was apparent that something was terribly wrong. My first impression was that she was not very well supported but then realized her gown just needed a simple alteration, which is why I had to place her. Other than that; the color of the dress is beautiful against her complexion and that gorgeous red hair. Because I feel that I know Miss Giuliana Rancic, I am not blaming her. I am blaming everyone who saw her before she hit the carpet. Giuliana looked dazzling, choosing a darker makeup palette and an up do; which did flatter the seductive black lace and velvet Celia Kritharioti gown. I REALLY love this dress and the Victorian-esque, dark seductress vibe it gives off. The neckline, while beautifully done in lace, overwhelms G’s already petite frame. This same style gown with the neckline ending at her collarbone, which is one of her best features, would have been breath-taking.

I do not know why the extremely high slit or semi midriff baring bodice don’t bother me on Halle Berry. (Probably because she is HALLE BERRY!) She is known for wearing daring (insert Halle Berry Award gown link) over the years and I have never been disappointed. The colors are beautiful against her golden skin and her body is flawless. If you can rock it, do it! And she did and I think it is fabulous. What do you think? New, Fresh, Eye-catching
