The Books of the Bible

It is very important for us as Catholics to have a basic understanding of the Bible. The Bible is the most popular ‘selling’ book in the world. We refer to the stories in the Bible as Scripture (Scripture means sacred text) It is a book that reveals the origin, mission, and destiny of man.

It is a Library made up of 73 Books. There are approximately 773,692 words in the entire Bible. About 40 writers were involved It covers more than 1,600 years of history, though it is not a history book
