Where we are Workshop for country reps and ISC meeting in May 2006 UNEP selected 6 country projects proposals –Cameroon, Madagascar, Mauritius, Uganda, Jamaica, Papua New Guinea Lead ministries and national institutions identified (trade, agriculture, environment) MOUs under preparation 3 Reps of each country attending the capacity building workshop

Objectives The workshop aims to prepare country teams for implementation of country projects at national level. Anticipating your challenges:  Communication (presenting project to others)  Analysis (understanding integrated assessment)  Organisation (getting project started)

Specific Objectives of Workshop - Communcation - …Be better able to explain the: Main focus, objectives and planned actions of the project to project partners and stakeholders Rational and objectives of doing an integrated assessment of a trade-related policy in the agricultural sector Linkages between trade policies, agriculture, environment and biodiversity Main stages of an integrated assessment and how to focus it on biodiversity aspects
