Team: Rays of light

 Topic: Shadows  Time: 40 minutes  Age: years old  Observation outside of class  Groups of 3-4 children

To develop abstract thinking about affinitive and prospective geometry: 1. Parallel lines remain parallel ( To see the connection between the object and its shadow). 2. To see the different and similarities between natural and artificial light.

 Children experimenting and exploring how parallel lines remains parallel by using some provided materials or by observing some pillar of the building.

 Uses material from the nature or the buildings  Shapes ( Triangular, square, cycle, ellipses, etc.).  3-D Shapes ( ball, box).

 By going outside the children can see objects and shadows that are familiar to them (interactive science)  Children can observe the differences between the different times of the day.

 Repeat the activity inside with for example torches or light bulbs.  Children can observe the differences/similarities.
