What is P4HB? AKA “Medicaid Waiver Program for Women” A state Medicaid waiver program that offers FP services for women who do not qualify for Medicaid OR lost Medicaid coverage after postpartum care

To improve Georgia’s low birth weight rates To reduce the number of unintended, unplanned pregnancies To provide FP services to low income women To increase child spacing intervals through effective contraceptive use To provide access to inter-pregnancy care health services (IPC) to women with a previous very low birth weight infant Goals of the Program

Who is eligible? U.S. citizen or person with qualified proof of citizenship Women who are Georgia residents between the ages of 18 and 44 Do not receive any other Medicaid program or managed care program assistance Family Gross Income below 200% FPL

FP initial or annual exams (one per year) All contraceptive services and supplies FP education, counseling, and follow-up visits FP lab tests (e.g. Pregnancy tests & Pap Smear) Testing for STD(s) Treatment and follow-up for STD(s), except HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis Antibiotic treatment for STD(s) Tx for limited infections identified during routine visit FP pharmacy visits and prescription drugs Sterilization (Tubal Ligation) What does P4HB cover?
