Internet Safety –The goal is to educate students on how to avoid dangerous, inappropriate, or unlawful online behavior. –There are many websites that are set up to inform students, parents and educators. Other Net activities -- like child pornography or the attempted luring of a child to a face-to-face meeting - - are illegal in many, but not all, countries.

Internet Safety Tips Kids Go with your gut Keep your shields up Keep identifying information to yourself Keep your password secret Don’t trust anyone Chat Smart Guard your image Be Aware Never give your real name, age, address Tell parents, teachers, law enforcement if something isn’t right

Online Tools Internet service providers (ISPs) provide parent-control options to block certain material from coming in to your child's computer. Software can help block your child's access to certain sites based on a "bad site" list that your ISP creates. There are programs to monitor and track your child's online activity.
