Where we’ve been… Doubled the investment in Safe Routes to School $56 million in new state revenue for SRTS $75 million in new state revenue for pedestrian and bicycle grant projects $89 million for the state project list $106 million in new state revenue for Complete Streets Grant program Increased access to drinking water Secured $1 million in Capital Budget Funds for water bottle filling stations Partnership with Brita and Mission Readiness to bring free water bottle filling stations to schools Worked with the Statewide Building Code Council Supported legislation to make healthy choices easier for kids $5 million for Healthy Kids, Healthy Schools program (scratch cooking, playground equipment, school gardens, water bottle filling stations) Continued funding for full-time Healthiest Next Generation staff member $10 million for Youth Athletic Facilities, including $7 million in competitive grants

Where we’re going…  Rule-making – Stronger nutrition, physical education, and screen time standards for early learning  Implementation – equity in active transportation investments, marketing school grant opportunities, water bottle filling stations, Executive Order (healthy standards in state facilities)  New areas for research – strengthening PE requirements, sugary drinks – warning labels  Strengthening our workgroups and engagement
