ACADEMIC COURSE SCHEDULE Adding the Building and Room to a Section Using SSASECT

Welcome...  Purpose: Faculty will learn how to add the building and room to a course section using SSASECT.  Audience: Academic Deans, Department Heads, Coordinators of Instructional Activities, Program Coordinators, and Division Secretaries  Instructional Time: 7-10 minutes  Assumptions: General navigation knowledge of Banner

Adding the Building and Room to a Section 1. Open the Schedule form by typing SSASECT in the Go box of the Banner Main menu and press the key on the keyboard. 2. Type the term code in the Term field. 3. Select the drop-down arrow for the CRN field. 4. This will take you to the search form SSASECQ. 5. Type the subject and course codes for the section you are building in their respective fields. 6. Press the Execute Query icon on the tool bar. The results of your query displays. 7. Click on the section that you want to work with and select the Select icon on the toolbar. 8. Click the Next Block icon on the toolbar to move the cursor to the first information block of the form.

9. Under the Options Menu, Select Scheduled Meeting Times. 10. Use the scrollbar to navigate to the Building and Room fields. Place the cursor inside the Building field. 11. Under the Options menu, select Query Available Class Room. Next Block twice. (Note: To narrow your search, you can specify by building, capacity, or room attributes.) 12. Use the down arrow on your keyboard to scroll through all available classrooms. (Note: This form does not have a scrollbar, but you can scroll beyond the rooms you see when you first perform the search.) 13. Click on the room that you want and select the Select icon on the toolbar. This brings the building and room back into the form. 14. Click the Save icon on the toolbar. When you are finished, click the Exit icon on the toolbar. Adding the Building and Room to a Section
