ENVIRONMENTAL + ODDITY = PM Environmental was contacted by the homeowner’s insurance company for an emergency response. The above-ground storage tank was leaking heating oil onto the property. The spill occurred approximately seven days before we arrived. During soil testing and remediation, a disturbing discovery was made.

ANIMAL HORDER GOES ENVIRONMENTAL **UPDATE** BASEMENT OF HOME Several things going on in this picture! At the initial site visit, you could not tell what the floor was constructed of. There were several 50 pound bags of pet food slashed open with food spilling out on the floor acting as food dishes. Note the cat the cat clock on the far wall. Yup…. One of those that the tail wags and eyes move. Just below that is an oil painting of her world class breeder. The 409 cleaner is on the table for show (it was empty). In the foreground is a future animal enclosure in the making with a pet carrier, baby gate, and fishing net.

ANIMAL HORDER GOES ENVIRONMENTAL **UPDATE** BASEMENT OF HOME The floors are much better but you can see some fresh stains and you have to appreciate the litter box under the table. The main focal point is the two story pet condo in the back. Last spring, this was loaded with rabbits, too many to count. There was not an inch of open floor space in the cat condo.

ANIMAL HORDER GOES ENVIRONMENTAL **UPDATE** When asked on our return visit if we could use her bathroom, the client said no and if we wanted, we could use the sump in the basement.

ANIMAL HORDER GOES ENVIRONMENTAL The screened in porch to the right is where the client would serenade us with her broken harp dressed only in a bathrobe.

ANIMAL HORDER GOES ENVIRONMENTAL **UPDATE** This is what they use as the main entrance to the house. Nothing like a mat of straw under your feet to catch the dirt.

ANIMAL HORDER GOES ENVIRONMENTAL **UPDATE** Here is the entrance to the cellar. The client would sporadically pop open these doors and switch out the animals to do their business. Note the staining of foundation walls. Yes….. fecal matter was that thick at one time.

ANIMAL HORDER GOES ENVIRONMENTAL FALLEN FENCE This fence had to avoided at all cost when loading the impacted soil into the gravel trains. Apparently, the client’s husband had just installed it the previous spring and she feared that the activity would cause it damage.

ANIMAL HORDER GOES ENVIRONMENTAL **UPDATE** RABBIT HOUSE This structure is used to house rabbits. Note the cinder blocks and larger field stones acting as headstones to the deceased pets. The pile of blocks and stones by the tipped over chair is for future use. We were told not to use them for any reason. HEADSTONES
