Extrication: Is an organized, systematic set of planned activities with the objective of safely freeing or disentangling the victim as rapidly, yet as safely as possible.

Disentanglement: Removal of the victim from the vehicle or removing the wreckage from the victim.

Rescue: An organized, systematic means of: Locating the injured Accessing the injured = (extrication) Stabilizing the injured Transporting the injured
